Deploying the Meridian Web Client
The Meridian Web Client setup package is available as a single executable file for both 32-bit and 64-bit computers. On 64-bit computers, it will install both the 32-bit and 64-bit components so that the setup does not need to be run twice.
Deploying the Meridian Web Client can be done in several ways:
- Manually by selecting the Meridian Web Client Setup component in the Meridian setup wizard as described in Installing the client components.
- Manually by downloading the setup package from a local server and running the setup program. By default, the Meridian setup program copies the Meridian Web Client installation package to a shared subfolder of the Web Access application at C:\Inetpub\AMM\Res\OWC. It also copies a simple web page that contains instructions to users on how to download and run the setup package. It then sets this location as a hyperlink that appears in the viewer pane for users who do not yet have it installed. The users can click the hyperlink to download the package and install it for themselves.
- Centrally with Active Directory Services by unpacking the Meridian Web Client setup package. Run the setup package from a command line with the /a command-line switch to perform an administrative installation. This results in an installable .msi file with the language transform specified by the TRANSFORMS argument. The .msi file can then be deployed as usual with Active Directory Services.
